Spectra at the San Diego State University Downtown Gallery explores the use of color as both element and subject in the work of ten artists from Los Angeles, New York and San Diego. Incorporating painting, sculpture, video, performance and sound-sculpture installation, the exhibition provides a broad array of chromatic experiences. Included in the exhibition are Hadieh Shafie, John Baldessari, Gisela Colon among others.
